Gail creates vibrant and colourful graphic illustrations, using traditional paint and paper and digital drawing techniques. During her graphic design studies, Gail fell in love with surface design which lead her to making repeating patterns from her art. Her process involves sketching and painting on paper or canvas, and then refining these as digital artworks using Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Fresco. Gail’s inspiration comes from the flora and fauna of nature and her curiosity with the mystical and other worldly charms, which form a common theme in her work. Plants, flowers, birds, animals, insects and magical elements often appear in her illustrations which are graphic, bold and colourful.
